David Maddux met our #1 daugher, Jennifer, at Ozark Christian College when they were both freshmen. After their wedding, nearly seventeen years ago, David began a six-year stint in the Navy and the Marines as a medic. (He was in Desert Storm.) Leaving the military life behind, they moved to Columbia, MO, where Dave attended the University of Missouri and earned a degree in linguistics.

They have been blessed with three sons, James, Joshua, & Justin, and a daughter, Jessica. They were here in Taiwan for three years where they served as dorm parents at Morrison Academy. Last summer, they returned to the US and settled in Springfield, MO, where David is pursuing classes which he hopes will lead to entrance into medical school, either this Fall or next. (David and Jennifer are both"MKs": David grew up in Brazil, where his parents, who attended OCC with Molly & I, still minister; Jennifer grew up here in Taiwan.)
